Engine Config Gates
The rulebook the engine can't break — filters, deny-lists and regime gates.
Engine Config Gates are the configurable rulebook that governs what the engine is even allowed to trade. Wide-stop filters remove setups requiring unreasonable risk, symbol deny-lists exclude untradeable names, and BTC regime and alt-universe gates keep the engine aligned with the broader market.
These gates are how the system encodes discipline structurally — bad setups are filtered out before they ever become a signal, rather than relying on judgement after the fact.
Wide-stop filters
Reject setups whose required stop is unreasonably large.
Symbol deny-lists
Exclude illiquid or untradeable assets entirely.
BTC regime gates
Align signals with the prevailing Bitcoin regime.
Alt-universe gates
Control exposure across the altcoin universe by condition.
Config gates are where the engine's discipline is written down — the structural filters that make every other layer's output cleaner.
What do the gates do?
They filter what the engine can trade — removing wide-stop setups, denied symbols and signals that fight the BTC regime.
Why gate by BTC regime?
Bitcoin's regime heavily influences the whole market, so aligning signals to it filters out low-probability counter-regime trades.
Are gates configurable?
Yes — they're the engine's rulebook, tuned to keep signal quality high across conditions.
